The design of HPLC methods for real-world samples using computer technology at the level of human experts has always been the goal pursued by people. In the process of developing a chromatographic expert system, we noticed some problems in the developing chromatographic expert system. For the first time, we combined the artificial intelligence research method with some mathematical algorithms and established the spectral library to test the correctness of the reasoning . To automate the design of high performance liquid chromatography methods at the level of human experts, we developed a fully automated high performance liquid chromatograph with a fast-scan photodiode array detector on an IBM PC / XT microcomputer
