Grls(Guizhou recessive long-culm)是作者1983年在杂交后代中发现的一个水稻高秆隐性新类型。
Grls (Guizhou recessive long-culm) is a new type of rice stalk recessive discovered by the author in hybrid progeny in 1983. In this paper, the characteristics of Grls and their F_1 plant height were reported. The data of two reported high-stalk recessive rice varieties (LM_1 in Japan and 76: 4512 in the United States) were quoted from abroad, each with different stalk-type structures. Grlc is normally elongated. LM_1 for the middle of the internodal elongation, 76: 4512 for the first elongation. Grlc has a good culm structure similar to dwarf rice and some other advantages. Its discovery may bring hope to further improve the seed yield of hybrid rice and overcome the lodging problem of F_1 between indica and japonica hybrids.
