国防科技大学拥有“哈军工”的光荣历史,更拥有八十年代以来创造的辉煌成就:我国第一台“银河”10亿次通用巨型计算机在这里诞生;我国第一台全数字仿真计算机在这里研制成功;我国第一台固体气象探空火箭在这里问世;我国第一台两足步行机器人在这里来到人间;我国第一台磁悬浮实验室样车在这里试车成功……国防科技大学是中国国防工程技术的最高学府,是孕育高科技成果的沃土,是高科技人才的用武之地。从这里走出国门攻读博士或硕士学位、做访问学者、短期进修、参加国际学术交流的数百位学者和留学生,都在学成之后,怀着对祖国的眷恋、对母校的深情按期返回,将所学知识奉献给祖国的国防科技教育事业。
