禹城市位于山东省西北部,历史悠久,文化丰厚,是大禹治水之域,酿酒之乡,扒鸡之城,龙山文化发祥地之一。夏商时属九州之兖州,周朝封为祝国,春秋战国时,改称祝阿,唐朝天宝元年(公元742年)设禹城县,1993年9月撤县设市。禹城市总面积990平方公里,人口52万,辖8镇2乡2个街道,拥有1处省级高新技术产业开发区、1所普通高校、3家上市公司,是国家高技术生物产业基地、中国功能糖城、中国食品馅料城、中国营养健康产业城、中国半精纺毛纱名城、国家级生态示范区、全国科技实力百强市、全国最具竞争力低碳产业城市、国家绿色能
Yu city is located in the northwestern part of Shandong Province, with a long history and rich culture. It is one of the birthplaces of Dayu flood control, winemaking, braised chicken and Longshan culture.
