近20年来,亚裔美国文学不仅成为了美国族裔文学的重要组成部分,而且已成为美国文学中的一大亮点——老一代作家进入经典作家的行列,新作家不断涌现,其作品也总有一鸣惊人之处。相应的族裔美国文学研究,也逐渐成为美国学术界的热点之一。在国内,特别是在近十年之内,亚裔美国文学研究突飞猛进,有了很大的起色。本期编发的美国族裔文学方面的三篇文章,其最重要的特点是:一手材料、观点新颖、探讨深入。美国诺维奇大学副校长黄桂友教授是具有国际影响的华裔学者,在亚裔美国文学研究领域做出了突出贡献,他在《族裔文学研究中的全球视野》的访谈中,阐释了自己在编辑和撰写系列族裔文学研究著作时的一些洞见,对中国研究美国族裔文学有着重要的启迪作用。《语言的背叛:移民作家的位置在哪里?》详细地介绍了美国著名华裔作家哈.金的最新评论著作《移民作家》的主要内容,并在此基础上对相关“移民作家与代言人”、“移民作家的位置”等问题做了详细的探讨。《诗情画意背后的那段历史》是国内少有的专门评论越南裔美国文学的学术论文,所评论的《我们都在寻找的那个土匪》是越南裔美国文学中最新的重要作品,在大陆尚无译本。我们希望这三篇文章能够对中国的族裔文学特别是亚裔美国文学研究起到一定的推动作用。
