二次大战以来,西方主要资本主义国家的经济虽历经衰退、危机和滞胀的困挠,但总的来说仍获得了相对稳定的持续的发展。为此,人们自然会提出“资本主义为何垂而不死”的问题。对于当代西方经济发展原因的研究,简单地采用政治经济学的方法或限于生产关系的概念的探讨是不够的,正确的方法应是从西方国家和世界经济中出现的新情况入手,分析其在当代西方经济增长与发展中的作用。以下笔谈正是根据这一思路而进行的一种探讨。
