初中物理学科的实验教学一直以来制约着物理教学质量的提高。在学校,物理实验设备相对缺乏,教师在一定程度上忽视实验教学,或很少进行实验教学;学生普遍认为物理知识抽象难学,教师很少指导他们做实验;即便有些演示实验,学生还没观察清楚,教师匆匆演示完后就直接给出实验结论等等——这些现状不利于学生的素质教育和可持续、全面的发展。
