我喜欢养花。93年春一位同事送给我一颗植物的根状茎,盆栽后发芽、长成植株,但未开花。去年我又把它继续栽种,于7月上旬开花,先后共开7朵,花大,色艳丽,形状奇特,颇有观赏价值。拍下彩片(见彩页)又查阅了有关资料,方知是嘉兰(Gloriosa superba L.)。它原产于我国南部热带地区,在北京引种、栽培,尚未见过报导。为此,特把其盆栽方法、步骤和我对它观察的一些情况向大家作一介绍。
I like to raise flowers. In the spring of 1993, a colleague gave me the rhizome of a plant that sprouted after potting and grew into a plant without flowering. Last year I planted it again and started to bloom in early July. There were 7 flowers in total, with large flowers and bright colors. The shape of the flowers was unique and quite ornamental value. Take a color film (see color pages) and access to relevant information, known to be Gloria (Gloriosa superba L.). It is native to the tropical regions of southern China and was introduced and cultivated in Beijing. It has not been reported yet. To this end, especially its potted methods, steps and I observed some of its situation to everyone to make an introduction.
