杜亚泉其名其人,今者知之甚少。约七、八年前“文化讨论热”泛起,见过一本旧文集子,是把五四前后关于东西文化价值比较的若干争论文章编在一起。其中收了陈独秀与伧父辩论的文字,才知道伧父即杜亚泉,当时是《东方杂志》的主编。印象里大概是一位类似林琴南头戴瓜皮帽的老先生,不大合潮流的样子。其实也还是知之甚少。沙淘浪过,历史的造影常常并不大清晰。那本集子如今手边也寻不到了。
Du Yaquan its name, today who know little. About seven or eight years ago, “hot discussion of culture” came into existence. Among them, the text of the debate about Chen Du-xiu and his father was received. Only then did he know that his father, Du Yaquan, was the chief editor of Oriental Magazine. The impression is probably an old gentleman similar to Lin Qinnan wearing a melon leather hat, not fit the trend of the show. In fact, still little is known. Amoy waves, the history of the angiography is often not very clear. That book can not be found nowadays.
