【相关链接】:朱元鼎,浙江宁波人,生于1896年10月。1920年毕业于东吴大学生物系,1926年获美国康奈尔大学理学硕士学位,1934年获美国密歇根大学哲学博士学位。曾任上海圣约翰大学教授、生物系主任、研究院院长、理学院院长、代理教务长。1952年起,任上海水产学院教授、海洋渔业研究室主任、鱼类研究室主任、院长,东海水产研究所所长。1986年12月在上海病逝。我国著名鱼类学家,鱼类分类学奠基人,一级教授。

He graduated from Department of Biology, Soochow University in 1920, received a master’s degree in science from Cornell University in 1926 and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Michigan in 1934. Former Shanghai St. John University professor, director of Biology, Dean of Research, Dean of Science, Acting Dean. Since 1952, he has served as a professor at Shanghai Fisheries College, director of marine fisheries research department, director of fish research department, dean, director of the East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute. December 1986 died in Shanghai. China’s famous fishologist, founder of fish taxonomy, a professor.
