1988年8月24日9时,四川南充味精厂精制车间中和岗位,在下麸酸时。逸出大量硫化氢气体,现场4名操作工中毒,其中一人死亡。事故原因: (1)阀门泄漏,底水中硫化钠溶液较多(约57kg),因而在加麸酸时产生并逸出大量硫化氢气体。这是直接原因。 (2)平常用排气扇代替抽风机,又因当时天气凉快而没有开动,致使硫化氢气体无法排出。测试表明,当时车间内硫化氢浓度高达600mg/m~3,为国家规定容许浓度的60倍。 (3) 当事人缺乏基本的防毒及抢救常识。
