The role of NO 2 is multifaceted, but there are few studies on its extrapulmonary effects. In order to further understand the full effect of NO 2 on health, it is necessary to study the potential systemic toxicity of NO 2. This article is the first step in the overall study to determine the effect of exposure to different concentrations and times of NO 2 on pentobarbital-induced sleep (hereinafter abbreviated as ST). Drug-induced ST is a well-established model for determining the in vivo metabolism of exogenous substances.
