何谓第三层交换随着对网络性能、带宽和延迟的需求不断增加,以及千兆以太网的兴起,第三层交换成为热中之热。一些厂商也推出冠之以“第三层交换”的产品。到底什么样的产品才是第三层交换的路由交换机呢? 真正的路由交换机应满足以下几方面:性能,第三层与第二层同等的MPDS性能,低延迟;技术,由硬件(ASIC)实现路由,分布式路由表;特性,支持基于策略的虚拟网,IP多路广播,优先级队列等高级特性;成本,低成本、高密度,每端口成本相当于高端路由器的10％。将路由器模块加入第二层交换机中的产品不是第三层交换机!
