今年初传统基金会公布2007年“经济自由度指数”报告,香港连续第13年获评为全球最自由经济体系,并在其中四个范畴,包括贸易自由、投资自由、金融自由及产权保障上,评分均居首位。传统基金会报告中亦指出香港司法制度独立于政治,且十分廉洁。事实证明,回归后的香港今天仍在全球经济体系中占有重要地位,其中主要原因是我们拥有一个国际认可及接受的法律制度。我们沿用的普通法体系亦能配合国际惯用的商贸法则,让国际投资者放心继续在香港市场营商并透过香港到中国内地投资。
Earlier this year, the Heritage Foundation released its 2007 “Economic Freedom Index” report. For the 13th consecutive year, Hong Kong has been named one of the freest economies in the world. In four of these areas, Hong Kong has enjoyed freedom of trade, freedom of investment, financial freedom and property rights Protection, the highest ranking in the first place. The report of the Heritage Foundation also pointed out that the judicial system in Hong Kong is independent of the political system and very clean. Facts have proved that Hong Kong after the reunification still plays an important role in the global economic system today. The main reason for this is that we have an internationally recognized and accepted legal system. The common law system that we follow also complies with the usual business rules of the world so that international investors can rest assured that they will continue to do business in the Hong Kong market and make investments in mainland China through Hong Kong.
