过去天文界对宇宙星球的研究,几乎将全部精力都集中在地球以外星球的分布位置、大小、物质成分、物质密度、物质状态、运动方向、运动速度和产生时代等一般的特点上,而对过去已发现的星球,在宇宙空间上分布所组成形态面貌出现的特点,还未进行过全面系统的总结,对宇宙的形态面貌还没有一个整体的概念。本文以天文界过去的研究成果为基础,对宇宙星球空间上的组成形态面貌及宇宙星球出现的内在规律进行了比较深入的研究,并得出推论:组成宇宙空间上星球的层次和数量是无限的;它们随着层次的增高,体积也越来越大,甚至是无限的;宇宙星球组成形态面貌出现的基本特点是呈一个类似于无限大椭圆形的铁饼状的. 随着科学技术的发展(测量仪器种类的增多以及精度的提高、宇宙飞船的成功),宇宙间上的研究范围正在逐渐扩大.本文对上述问题的研究及推论,只是想引起人们对宇宙空间进行广泛的研究,以促进科学的发展.
