提出基于小波变换 (WT)的矢量量化 (V Q)的遥感图象压缩编码方法。采用二维 WT消除象素间的空间相关性 ,然后对变换后的小波系数进行 VQ压缩编码。实验结果表明 :该方法可获得 10倍压缩比 ,峰值信噪比(PSNR)为 30 .5 2。本方法明显优于 JPEG方法 ,而且没有方块效应。该方法可用于各种遥感图象压缩 ,压缩比和PSNR这两项指标与 JPEG压缩方法相比 ,也有明显的提高。
A remote sensing image compression coding method based on wavelet transform (WT) vector quantization (VQ) is proposed. The two-dimensional WT is used to eliminate the spatial correlation between pixels and the VQ compression is performed on the transformed wavelet coefficients. The experimental results show that this method can obtain 10 times compression ratio and the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) is 30.52. This method is significantly better than the JPEG method, and there is no box effect. This method can be used for all kinds of remote sensing image compression. Compared with the JPEG compression method, the two indexes of compression ratio and PSNR are obviously improved.
