新闻事实:一、在2003年12月21日CBA联赛第11轮辽宁对北京队的比赛中(辽宁队主场辽阳体育馆),当比赛进行到终场最后时刻(比分为105:105),北京队获得三次罚球机会。此时,主场球迷向场内投掷大量矿泉水瓶和其它杂物,致使罚球无法执行。为保障队员人身安全及确保比赛完整进行,裁判员、运动员被迫返回休息室。30分钟后,在当地公安机关劝阻下,观众才离开体育馆,由北京队4号队员执行罚球,结果三罚一中,北京队胜。这是一次CBA历史上中断比赛时间最长、造成影响最恶劣的一次事件。为严肃赛场纪律,给予辽阳赛区通报批评、严重警告、扣发联赛经费3万元,取消优秀赛区评选资格的处罚。
