周德忠教授是我国著名的汞矿床专家和地质教育家。60年来他在地质教育和地质找矿实践中,为祖国培养了大批地质专业人材,向国家提交了25个地质报告,撰写了20多篇学术论文,对我国的矿产勘探事业,特别是汞矿床的勘探与研究,做出了卓越的贡献。欣逢周德忠教授80寿辰,特撰此文以示祝贺。周德忠教授于1936年毕业于国立北京大学地质系,获理学士学位。40年代受地质学家丁道衡教授之聘,以副教授资格执教于贵州大学理学院地质系。1960年以贵州省地质局付总工程师兼任贵州地质学院教授的双重职务,一边潜心研究汞矿床成因理论问题,撰写
Professor Zhou Dezhong is a famous mercury deposit expert and geologist educator in our country. Over the past 60 years, he has trained a large number of geological professionals for the motherland in geological education and geological prospecting. On the occasion of Professor Zhou Dezhong’s 80th birthday, I wrote this article to show my congratulation. Professor Zhou Dezhong graduated from the Peking University Department of Geology in 1936 with a bachelor’s degree. In the 40’s by the geologist Dingdao Ding hired by the associate professor of qualifications in Guizhou University Department of Geology. In 1960, with the Guizhou Provincial Bureau of Geology as the chief engineer concurrently Professor of Guizhou Geological Institute of dual position, while concentrating on the theory of mercury deposits theory, writing
