在毛泽东诞辰百年之际,走进纪念堂瞻仰毛主席遗容的人也日渐增多,许多入都渴望了解主席的遗体是怎么保存的。 不久前,主要负责毛主席遗体保存工作的徐静博士向新闻界介绍了他们的保护工作。 毛泽东于1976年9月9日零时10分逝世后,中共中央政治局经紧急磋商,决定保护主席遗体。当时任中国医学科学院基础医学组党支部书记、形态学教研室第一副主任的徐静接受了汪东兴当面下达的这个重要任务。正式建立了保护室,徐静兼室主任,在全体工作人员的辛勤工作下,毛主席的遗体终于成功地保存下来。
