2012年6月27日,“走进帕米尔、决战昆仑山”中国摄影家首届“奥林匹克”团体摄影大PK暨第四届新疆旅游摄影节正式开赛,来自全国援疆20个省市近百名优秀摄影家汇聚新疆克孜勒苏柯尔克孜自治州阿克陶县,每个代表队由3名摄影家组成,限定在阿克陶县境内进行摄影活动。各队从6月27日至29日,用3天时间围绕当地风光风情、三大史诗活动、柯尔克孜族民俗文化三大类别开展创作。本次中国摄影家首届“奥林匹克”团体摄影大PK提出的口号是:激战三天三夜,解密三大主题,弘扬影
