According to the Indian Navy’s system, the commander-in-chief is the supreme commanding body of the Navy. It is also the highest naval administrative department. It is based in New Delhi, capital of the country, with a commander and the current commander is Admiral Ahran Prakash. The commander of the Navy has five chief staff officers who assist with the work, including the First Naval Deputy Commander, the Navy Deputy Commander, the Personnel Minister, the Equipment Minister and the Logistics Minister.
