友谊1号豌豆是我省1991年从日本引进的高产优质荚粒兼用型品种,一般亩产干籽粒150～200kg,鲜荚亩产750kg以上,比当地推广品种南通大白玉豌豆增产23.5%。如食鲜荚则荚果翠绿、味甜可口;如食鲜粒,则粒大饱满均匀,淀粉糖分含量较高,是难得的荚粒兼用型菜豌豆品种。该品种植株半矮生,宜选择与之熟期相当的矮杆抗倒伏小麦品种混作的方法进行繁种,混作豆麦比按3:7增产效果及经济效益较好。为防止种性退化,选叶形较小、籽粒大、种皮较绿的种子留种,最好选植株中部结的荚,可基本保持种性不变。
