In 1993, a nationwide shrimp disease broke out and shrimp farming in our province had withstood a severe test. The province from Guangdong to western Guangdong have occurred in a large area of contagious, acute viral and bacterial concurrent comprehensive shrimp disease, suffered heavy losses. The area of the two outbreak shrimp diseases reached more than 11 mu, accounting for 50% of the total area of shrimp farming.
