Based on the principle of electromagnetic detection, a new electromagnetic detection method suitable for detecting the telescopic distance of the piston rod of a hydraulic support working in a coal mine is discussed, which is also suitable for the on-line quantitative detection of the moving distance of the moving components of the ground mechanical equipment.
