印度陆军为满足作战需求,将对其装备的所有BMP-2/2K步兵战车进行升级。此次升级将投入1.4亿美元,升级后该车将达到BMP-2M步兵战车的标准,并采用新型动力组件。BMP-2/2K步兵战车升级后将集成最新型的火控系统、双联装导弹发射装置、车长热成像全景瞄准镜及自动榴弹发射器。此外,印度陆军还在寻求一种功率为280kW以上的发动机代替其现有的UTD-20型发动机,改善越野机动性能。
Indian Army to meet operational needs, will be equipped with all BMP-2 / 2K infantry fighting vehicles to upgrade. The upgrade will invest 140 million US dollars, after upgrading the car will reach the standard BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles, and the use of new power components. The BMP-2 / 2K infantry fighting vehicle will be integrated with the latest fire control system, dual-mounted missile launchers, the captain’s thermal imaging panoramic sight and automatic grenade launcher. In addition, the Indian Army is still seeking a power of more than 280kW engine instead of its existing UTD-20-type engine to improve off-road mobility.
