目前最常用的男性节育措施仍是输精管结扎术,这种方法简便、安全、有效,然而是不可复的,即使做了复通术,仍有部分受术者因产生精子凝集抗体和制动抗体而不能生育。此外,由于精道受阻也可能发生附睾於积等并发症。为此,发展一种非阻塞性的男性永久性节育措施实有必要。1979年Kapur应用铜制输精管內节育器,观察了120天,结果证明有明显的避孕效果。我们在重复上述实验的基础上,延长观察时期,并检测了铜离子释放和睾酮的变化,进一步判明在人类应用的可能性。
