大遗址是可以代表区域人类文明的遗存,具有非常大的科学、艺术、考古价值,受到国家保护,但由于我国对于大遗址的保护起步较晚,理论研究不足导致实践操作存在漏洞,人为破坏大遗址的行为屡见不鲜,如何长期有效约束、制止以至杜绝这种现象,从源头上消灭此类行为,达到保护文物和城市发展、改善人民生活条件互不冲突,互利多赢是一个长期而艰巨的课题。
