1980年代中后期“三农”题材作家以丰富的创作实践,图绘当代农村生活广阔而深刻的全景式画面,触摸建国以来农村发展的历史细部,呈现历史的真实与现实的复杂,凸显文学的时代意义和社会价值,最终探索和思考中国农村、农业特别是农民的发展路向,并着力实现三个层面的艺术价值追求:一是具有现代意义的农民主体的塑形与建构,二是当代中国乡村之历史与现实的整体呈现、文化审视与理性思考,三是中国“三农”叙事的现实主义回归与新变。
