近年来,翻译学的重点逐渐转移到文化层面,关于翻译与文化关系的研究开始盛行,“文化转向”概念被广泛接受。汤显祖的“临川四梦”之一《牡丹亭》是中国著名古典戏曲的传世之作。《牡丹亭》全剧55出,引经据典、文字优美。目前《牡丹亭》的英译本主要有三个,分别是Cyril Birch,张光前和汪榕培的英译本。本文通过对这三个译本中文化因素翻译的对比,旨在探讨不同翻译策略影响下,译本的不同以及如何翻译才能最多的传达原文的信息,更好的将中国传统文化发扬光大。
In recent years, the focus of translation studies has gradually shifted to the cultural level. Studies on the relationship between translation and culture are beginning to flourish. The concept of “cultural shift” is widely accepted. Tang Xianzu “One of Linchuangsi” “Peony Pavilion ” is a famous Chinese classical opera handed down. “Peony Pavilion” 55 plays, cited by the Code, the text beautiful. At present, there are mainly three English versions of Peony Pavilion, which are the English translations of Cyril Birch, Zhang Guangqian and Wang Rongpei. By comparing the translation of cultural factors in these three translations, this article aims to explore the different translation strategies under the influence of the translation of the different and how to translate the most to convey the original message, the better to carry forward the traditional Chinese culture.
