朱敏,上海交通大学管理学院学生会主席、上海市市北中学2000届高中毕业生,给我们讲过这样一个小故事:“我刚考进交大,由于我在母校是学生会主席,同学们选我当班长。那天,召开班长例会,随着各班班长的陆续到来,我发现有好几张熟悉的面孔,一询问,果真都是市北中学的学生。想不到,交通大学来自全国各地的大一新生班长中竟然有六位是我们市北的毕业生。”为什么在市重点中学颇多的上海市会出现这样一件“怪”事?是因为市北中学是一所具有89年历史的名校?还是因为原校长方仁工从1988年以来实施的以“登上巨人的肩膀”为目标的“自我发展教育”的成果?既是,又不完全是。因为除了历史的积淀带来的优势以外,还与现任校长沈黎明创造性地提出并实施了“创造适合学生的教育”密不可分。
