湘玉７号（原名科湘６号）是中国科学院长沙农业现代化所以自交系４７８作母本；Ｈ１５２作父本育成的紧凑型玉米单交种，经过品比、区试和生产试验示范以及品质分析测试，该品种具有在产稳产，抗逆性强，适应性广，熟期适中，制种产量高和品质优良等优点。１９９５年１月通过湖南省农作物品种审定委员会审定，定名为湘玉７号，可在全省推广。

January 1995 through the Hunan Provincial Crop Variety Approval Committee validation, named Xiang Yu 7, can be promoted in the province.
