认识和战胜自然灾害据统计,在过去的20年中,自然灾害,已在世界范围内造成280万人死亡,受影响的人口多达8亿2千万,直接经济损失达千亿美元。对于自然灾害,我们同样需要实事求是地分析和对待它。自然灾害是自然界发展的规律,在地球演变史上曾经历了大大小小的许多次灾变期。几乎每一次较大的灾变,都引起地球面貌巨大的变革和生物界的跃进。人类正是在第四纪冰期那场严酷的灾害期中进化而来的。以后的每次灾变,既给人类造成了苦难和损失,但同时也锻炼了人类,可以说人类的文明史就是在与各种天灾人祸的斗争中发展进步的。
Understanding and Overcoming Natural Disasters According to statistics, over the past 20 years, natural disasters have killed 2.8 million people in the world, affecting as many as 820 million people and direct economic losses of 100 billion U.S. dollars. For natural disasters, we also need to analyze and treat it truthfully. Natural disasters are the laws governing the development of nature and have experienced many catastrophes of all sizes, large and small, in the history of the Earth's evolution. Almost every major catastrophe has caused tremendous changes in the Earth's surface and a leap in the biological world. It is during the harsh disasters of the Quaternary ice age that humans evolved. Each subsequent catastrophe has both caused suffering and loss to humankind, but at the same time it has also tempered mankind. It can be said that the history of civilization of mankind is to make progress in the struggle against various man-made natural and man-made disasters.
