张明甫同志今年66岁,是个左手背残缺、腰腹受贯通枪伤致小便失禁、双肢麻木的一等伤残军人。1987年离休后,他听了传达全国老龄委上海发展老年事业经验会议精神之后,非常高兴,下决心干一番老年事业。终于在1987年经省老龄委批准组织成立了全国第一家“山西老龄人才资源开发协会”,他被选为常务副会长兼秘书长。省委领导贾俊、阎武宏提任名誉会长。
