巴西圣保罗联邦大学进行的一项研究表明,儿童若6岁前营养不良,容易患高血压。圣保罗联邦大学在该市贫民区挑选了53名11~16岁的青少年进行研究。这些青少年具有典型的营养不良体征:身高比世界卫生组织规定的标准低7厘米,体重也较轻。结果他们中7人(13%)有高血压症状,其中大多数是在13岁时出现高血压症状的,也有11岁就被确诊为高血压的。
A study conducted by the Federal University of Sao Paulo in Brazil shows that children who are malnourished before the age of 6 are prone to high blood pressure. Federal University of Sao Paulo selected 53 adolescents aged 11 to 16 years for research in the slum area of the city. These adolescents have the typical signs of malnutrition: 7 cm tall and lighter than the standard set by the World Health Organization. Results Seven (13%) of them had high blood pressure symptoms, most of whom developed hypertension at age 13 and were also diagnosed with hypertension at the age of 11 years.
