“Intelligence” is “the foundation of all our ideas and actions.” This is a famous quote in Clausewitz’s “Theory of War.” He talked about the military, but its truth is undoubtedly fully applicable to foreign economic and trade undertakings. “Know thyself and know oneself, and fight every battle.” The importance of the foreign trade enterprise’s intelligence work is directly related to the success or failure of foreign economic trade, and its importance is self-evident.
