秧歌渟,半个世纪前我出生的地方。 一个很不起眼的山村。隶属东北边疆一个开发很晚的小县。这个县清朝末年设府,民国初年设县,其治下的这个小小山村不可能有什么悠久的历史。 鸭绿江从白头山的天池发源,顺着山谷越流水越丰盛,越淌江西越宽阔,蜿蜒直下570多公里。它是把原始森林中富藏的木材运往内地的重要水路之一。从古至今,有过无数放排人,一程就是二十多天乃至一两个月,生活在绑扎好的圆木排上,躲险滩、冲激流、过陡弯,冒着生命之危,顺流而下。这些放排人都知道鸭绿江上有个凶险的去处——秧歌渟。原来湍急奔流的江水在这里撞在陡峭的石崖上拐了个急弯,天长日久石壁凹了进去,形成一大片深不可测的水面
