I. Introduction Pit conservation is one of the longest-running, largest proportion and one of the most backward maintenance methods in the northern region. It has long conservation cycles, large steam consumption, poor working conditions, and large temperature differences between the upper and lower layers. The disadvantages of the most uneven conservation quality; however, because it has the advantages of less infrastructure investment, quick installation, easy operation, great flexibility in the process, and being suitable for the production of various components, etc. Therefore, the conservation pits are still widely used. In the mid-1960s, some countries, such as the Soviet Union and France, adopted the thermal medium setting in the conservation pits.
