Despite the harsh persecutions of those who were hired on Wall Street, progressive poetry in Latin America is growing stronger. As early as during the Second World War, a group of poeters dedicated to the anti-fascist struggle have emerged among the Latin American countries. At a time when all mankind is intimidated by the new war end planted by the Anglo-American imperialists, progressive poets in Latin America have chosen resolute positions for truth and justice and are busy working together for peace. Their famous leader is the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Neruda is an outstanding politician except for a brilliant poet. It is hard to believe that in the present time Latin America is trying to find another writer, his writing is so deeply rooted in the life of his motherland.
