Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is one of the most common chronic complications of diabetes mellitus (DM). The study found that more than 11% of patients already had a significant DPN at the time of diagnosis of DM, and 90% of patients with DM eventually develop DPN as their disease duration increases [1]. The occurrence and development of DPN is the result of a combination of many factors, and the complications of diabetes are unified
