对引种的美国厚皮甜瓜初选品种进行了生育规律和露地栽培方式的研究。观测了各生育期的特点，比较了不同栽培方式对产量的影响，考察了各品种的品质，探讨了在江汉平原湿润气候条件下，露地栽培厚皮甜瓜之可能性。
The introduction of the United States muskmelon primaries varieties were fertilized law and field cultivation methods. The characteristics of different growth stages were observed. The effects of different cultivation methods on the yield were compared. The quality of each variety was examined. The possibility of planting melon in open field under the wet climate in Jianghan Plain was discussed.
