刘基,字伯温(1311——1375),浙江省今文成县(原青田县)南田镇武阳村人。《神道碑》载:神知迥绝,读书能七行具下。年十四,入郡胶,师授《春秋》,未尝执经诵读,而默识无遗。辩决疑义,出人意表。为文辄有奇气。诸家百氏,过目即洞其旨。……22岁中举人,23岁参加京试中第20名进士。刘基诗文具佳,是一位勋烈与文章并茂的文学家。
