刘亚军现年十六岁,身高1.57米,体重43.5公斤。一九七三年开始正式训练,一九七五年第三届全运会上曾获女子体操全能第一名。当时她虽年仅十四岁,但已掌握较好的基本技术和各项潮流难度动作,初步形成了自己轻盈、舒展、准确的技术风格,具有少年运动员骄健、轻快的特色。近两年来,刘亚军不断攻克技术难关,较好地解决了素质和难度的矛盾,不断地探求体操新技术,磨炼自己的意志品质,在发展新难动作上取得了可喜的成绩,在今年亚运会
