各位代表同志:自从上次的代表大会成立了「全国文协」以来,四年中间,我们国家的政治、经济、文教建设事业有了伟大的成就。三年的抗美援朝、保卫和平的英勇而艰巨的斗争,已经粉碎了美帝国主义的穷凶极恶的侵略计划,为和平解决朝鲜问题及其它有关问题创造了重要的条件。经过土地改革、镇压反革命、三反、五反等伟大运动的胜利成功,我国社会各方面都发生了巨大的、本质的变化。
Dear Delegates, Since the establishment of the “National Association of Literary Co-operatives” in the last congress, in the four years since our establishment in the political, economic and cultural fields, great achievements have been made. The three-year war of resistance against Korea and the United States and the heroic and arduous struggle to defend peace have smashed the most heinous plan of aggression by the U.S. imperialists and created important conditions for the peaceful settlement of the DPRK issue and other related issues. After the triumphant success of the great reforms such as land reform and suppression of the counter-revolutionaries, the three antipolorations and the five anti-opposition movements, enormous and fundamental changes have taken place in all aspects of our society.
