Many airport buildings, hotels and other large buildings always require both cold and heat sources. However, while people are cooling through the cooling tower to release large amounts of heat into the air, they often use boilers to consume additional energy to obtain heat, which is bound to cause a huge waste of energy. The Orlando International Airport building in the southern United States of America is a good solution to this problem. In the three years since the airport was opened, it used a heat pump to recover waste heat from the HVAC system, eventually abandoned the use of fossil fuels, and recovered the entire main building for a total investment of 300 million U.S. dollars.
