当人类社会即将跨入21世纪的辉煌时刻,在半坡遗址基础上建立的西安半坡博物馆也以其多年来所积累的丰硕成果迎来了自己40岁的生日。这无疑是值得所有关心它的人们庆贺、纪念和欢欣鼓舞的。西安半坡博物馆(下简称半博)不仅是新中国成立后;在中央领导直接关心下,国家拨专款建立的我国第一座新石器时代的遗址博物馆,而且,40年来在半博全体人员的共同努力下,该馆在考古发掘、史前研究、遗址保护和博物馆学等领域取得了令学术界瞩目的成就,因而使其在文博领域具有重要的地位和发挥着积极的影响。
When the human society is about to enter the glorious moment of the 21st century, the Banpo Museum in Xi’an built on the basis of the Banpo site has also welcomed its 40th birthday with the fruitful results it has accumulated over the years. This undoubtedly deserves to be celebrated, remembered and rejoiced by all who care about it. Xi’an Banpo Museum (hereinafter referred to as “Banbo”) is not only the founding of New China; under the direct concern of the Central Government, the State allocated the first Neolithic Relic Museum established by the State Council and, in the past 40 years, Thanks to its joint efforts, the museum has made remarkable achievements in archeological excavations, prehistoric studies, heritage conservation and museum science, which has made it an important position in the field of arts and culture and exerted a positive influence.
