“从地到天,从天到地,天地万物多么神奇,谁能解开这些奥秘,就会变得聪明无比。”这是上世纪80年代中央电视台一档节目的主题歌,节目的名字是《天地之间》。这个节目早已不存在,但今天科普类节目却层出不穷。我们也许不清楚基础科学的普及到底能给我们带来什么样的快捷收益,但我们都知道,那些世界顶尖的科学家、发明家、伟人乃至当今财富排名在前的人,都是从小从科学中慢慢汲取养料而成长的。也许你现在还觉得我在夸大奇谈,没有关系,后面的例证会说得更明白。不过这篇文章并不是纵观科普的,我只是想说其中的一个重要分支—“神奇的自然珍宝箱”。
