干热风是小麦生育后期的一种常发性气象灾害,其特点是高温、低湿并伴有一定风力或雨后高温猛晴,一般气温在30℃以上,空气湿度30%以下,风速每秒3米以上,可使小麦植株各部分迅速失水变干,破坏小麦植株的水分平衡和光合作用,影响小麦扬花、灌浆,使小麦提前枯熟,因供水不足而枯死。导致减产5%~10%,个别严重的可减产20%以上。因此,在高温到来之时,要重视预防干热风对小麦生产造成危害。
