观测地震学正处在一个激动人心的时代。现代宽频带地震仪轻而易举地用同一个传感器覆盖了从百秒以上到几十赫兹的频带。通用的地震数据可以具有超过120dB的动态范围,可以同时无畸变地记录到振幅跨越6个数量级的地面运动。
Observational seismology is in an exciting time. Modern broadband seismometers easily cover the same frequency range from hundreds of seconds to tens of hertz with the same sensor. Generic seismic data can have a dynamic range in excess of 120dB and can record ground movements with amplitudes spanning six orders of magnitude without distortion.
