We reported the reaction of CO_2 / H_2 with low pressure methanol over CuO-ZnO and CuO-ZnO-ZrO_2 catalysts. It was pointed out that CuO-ZnO-ZrO_2 has high activity and selectivity for methanol produced from CO_2 / H_2. In this paper, the catalytic effect of adding ZrO 2, the third component, on the synthesis of methanol by CO_2 / H_2 on CuO-ZnO-ZrO_2 catalyst was investigated by TPD-MS. 1 Experimental Part The evaluation of the catalyst was carried out in a constant pressure flow reaction system. The product was analyzed by chromatography (Porapak Q column, 4 mm × 3 m, column temperature 120 ° C, CO, CO_2, CH_3OH, H_2O retention time 0.55, 0.84, 4.72, 6.6 min, respectively)
