提起梅花,人们就会联想到岁寒三友。它集竖毅、高洁、秀雅于一身,蕴含着中华民族的审美趋向、情感脉络和道德标准。古往今来,人们喜用梅花来寄托情思,且自南北朝始即有梅花入画,不少画家与梅花结下了不解之缘,其中就包括中国现代杰出画家和美术教育家刘海粟红梅。红梅傲雪争春,冲寒吐艳,恰如恶劣环境中风骨棱棱的铮铮铁汉。因此刘海粟爱梅、赞梅,其笔下红梅既表现出对春天归来的渴望,又恰如其艺术人生的真实写照。
